History

Andy Chapman and Ian Fairbrother started the United FC Rec program (formerly known as the BAYSL) almost 20 years ago. It is a program founded for the youth soccer players of Birmingham and surrounding communities. It is run outdoor in the fall and spring at the Lutheran school and Pierce elementary school, and also in the winter season at Total Soccer Royal Oak. Several generations of our kids have had their first exposure to soccer with our organization. Some players have used it as a foundation to go on and play travel soccer but most have just loved the environment and atmosphere that has been created by many of our coaches such as Jim, Peter and Christina among others. From the tots at 2/3 years of age right through elementary school. We hope you have all had as much fun as we have down the years!
